Better Ventures is seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to design and maintain Kotlin Multiplatform mobile apps for iOS and Android. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features and contribute to the mobile platform architecture.

The role emphasizes collaboration, code quality, and staying current with industry trends. Hybrid work with on-site Tue/Thu, and a compensation range of $160k–$179k USD per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Engineering.
• 6+ years of mobile development with Android and Kotlin (KMM).
• Proven track record delivering mobile apps to the App Store.
• Deep understanding of mobile architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience with performance and memory tuning.
• Knowledge of UI/UX standards for iOS and Android.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Kotlin Multiplatform mobile apps for iOS and Android.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to ship features.
• Contribute to architecture and design of mobile platform.
• Work with backend teams to define and integrate APIs.
