Major League Baseball seeks a Senior Android Engineer to join its MLB App Feature Teams, delivering end-to-end Android experiences for fans, including personalized feeds, real-time scores, notifications, widgets, and media experiences.

You will own architecture, testing, rollout, observability, and production reliability in a large consumer app, collaborating with product, design, iOS, backend, QA, and test engineering while using GenAI responsibly to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building production Android apps.
• Strong Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, coroutines, and architecture.
• Experience in modular Android codebases with shared core modules.
• REST and GraphQL integration with solid error handling.
• Proven testing discipline across unit/integration/UI tests and CI.
• Experience diagnosing production issues via logs and telemetry.
• Familiarity with push notifications, widgets, and release management.
• Good Git workflow and written communication.
• Experience with GenAI tools to support delivery, with safe judgment.

Responsabilités

• Build high-quality Android features in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose across modules.
• Translate requirements and designs into production-ready UI with cross-platform consistency.
• Design and implement clean, maintainable feature architectures.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs with robust networking and caching.
• Improve app performance, startup behavior, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, iOS, Backend, QA, and Test Eng.
• Monitor rollouts and production behavior using observability tools.
• Own production issues from diagnosis to resolution and prevention.
