Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with mobile apps.
• Advanced Kotlin and Android SDK fundamentals knowledge.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Strong debugging, testing, and telemetry usage.
• Proven ability to mentor teams and influence practices.

Responsibilities

• Own design and implementation of complex Android features from discovery through post-release monitoring.
• Set technical direction for Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, architecture, modularization, networking, and persistence.
• Write clear designs; surface tradeoffs, risks, dependencies, and migration plans.
• Build accessible, responsive interfaces with design and research teams.
• Improve automated testing across unit to end-to-end layers and raise quality standards.
• Strengthen observability, performance, crash health, and release confidence for the Android app.
• Collaborate with backend and iOS peers on API contracts and analytics.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and drive continuous improvement of mobile delivery.
• Participate in planning, estimation, incident response, and process improvements.
