Job summary

SwankTek Inc. is seeking a Senior Mobile Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android apps in a hybrid Portland, ME setting. You will work closely with product, design, backend, and QA teams to deliver scalable mobile solutions.

The role requires strong Kotlin expertise, Jetpack Compose, and MVVM/clean architecture. You will implement REST APIs, offline caching, unit testing, and performance profiling to ensure robust, secure applications across devices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building Android apps with Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture.
• Experience implementing MVVM/Clex Architecture and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with offline caching strategies and testing.
• Ability to profile and optimize performance and debugging.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and app security considerations.
• Collaborative mindset in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
• Implement MVVM/Clean Architecture and modern Android practices.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services into apps.
• Develop responsive UI with Jetpack Compose and adhere to Material Design.
• Write unit and UI tests; collaborate with QA to fix defects.
• Optimize performance, fix memory leaks, and address crashes.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions; support releases.
