Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including team leadership or owning a major surface while remaining hands-on.
• Deep Kotlin expertise and Android architecture knowledge (MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• Experience shipping background audio or long-running background work.
• Strong testing mindset and approach to writing reliable tests.
• Proven ability to drive changes that stick within a team and organization.
• Comfort with guiding others and managing friction when changing how teams work.

Responsabilités

• Own major features end to end, collaborating with design from decision to release.
• Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback.
• Unblock the team when progress stalls and align versions for shared use.
• Lead planning and ensure automated verifications before QA nightly builds.
• Mentor early-career engineers and grow the team’s capabilities.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to align constraints early.
• Handle critical issues and own feature releases with nightly QA builds.
