Job summary

Brick is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to own major parts of the Android application architecture, feature development, and system design. You will work across Kotlin, Jetpack libraries, system‑level Android APIs, Accessibility and Device Policy integrations, secure data flows, and performance-sensiti‑ve functionality that interacts directly with our backend and hardware.

This is a senior, high-impact role where you will help shape the future of Brick’s Android product.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Android engineering experience with Kotlin.
• Strong background in app architecture, coroutines/flows, DI, and modern practices.
• Deep experience with Jetpack Compose and Android View system.
• Strong understanding of Android OS internals: background execution limits, permissions, lifecycle, battery.
• Experience with Accessibility Services, device controls, or app usage enforcement is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with BLE, secure device communication, or hardware integrations is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering, product, design, and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead Android architecture and feature development using Kotlin.
• Architect clean, testable, maintainable code with focus on reliability and performance.
• Drive initiatives across blocking logic, system enforcement, analytics, personalization, and user flows.
• Build responsive UI with Jetpack Compose where appropriate.
• Partner with product, design, backend, and hardware teams to deliver a polished app.
• Mentor other mobile engineers and drive technical discovery.
