Job summary

T-Mobile USA, Inc. in Bellevue, WA is seeking Principal Engineers, Software to design and deliver scalable Android/mobile platforms.

You will own architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams to ship robust software with strong security practices. Responsibilities include leading Android development with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, IoT integration, and cross-platform alignment with iOS.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS, software development, Information Systems or its foreign equivalent plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• Or Bachelor's degree in CS/SE plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop a full mobile app software stack with test automation.
• Conduct independent research into new technologies and software stacks.
• Drive engineering projects by developing software solutions, tests, and calculations.
• Contribute to designs to implement new ideas improving systems, processes and services.
• Review existing designs to find more efficient ways to complete workload.
• Write basic documentation on how technology works.
• Document systems designs, presentations, and business requirements for leadership consumption.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Mentor mid-level and associate engineers through workshops and learning sessions.
• Contribute to new and existing technology options that support business goals.
• Telecommuting is permitted with 3-4 days on-site work per week.
