NYC Health + Hospitals invites applications for an Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist affiliated with PAGNY at South Brooklyn Health. The role involves full spectrum pathology practice in an academic hospital setting with diagnostic autonomy.

Requirements include an active New York State Medical License, Board Certification or Eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Medical License is required.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology is required.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in pathology or related field.

Responsabilités

• Interpret and sign out surgical pathology, cytology, and frozen sections with high diagnostic autonomy.
• Perform intraoperative consultations, autopsies, renal biopsy adequacy assessments, and critical result reporting.
• Provide medical oversight and consultation to clinical laboratories including hematology and body fluid analysis.
• Supervise and mentor Pathologists' Assistants, residents, fellows, and medical students; opportunities for teaching and academic involvement.
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership to support accreditation standards and proficiency testing.
• Join a collegial, multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence, education, and continuous quality improvement.
• Make a meaningful impact through patient care, education, laboratory leadership, and academic scholarship.
