Job description

The Global Finance Technology organization is seeking a Senior Anaplan Solutions Architect to lead the development and integration of Anaplan within our planning & forecasting ecosystem. The role focuses on architectural oversight, platform standardization, and driving technical excellence across multiple product teams. You must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and the position requires a hybrid work schedule (2 days onsite) for candidates located in specific U.S. cities.

Responsibilities

• Drive platform standards by developing clear, comprehensive system and product recommendations that ensure consistency, security, maintainability, and flexibility.
• Partner with the data strategy team to keep Anaplan aligned with the Finance single version of truth, managing dimension hierarchies and upstream/downstream lineage.
• Define integration architecture and cloud competency standards for data flows into and out of Anaplan through Liberty tools and Snowflake, maintaining knowledge of AWS cloud-native patterns.
• Ensure the development team follows governance for documentation standards, monitoring, incident response, change management, and data flow diagrams; create and maintain architecture diagrams.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Manager to develop a strategic roadmap for the platform, providing technical guidance on build vs. buy decisions and evaluating new features.
• Drive the inclusion of AI in planning processes.
• Assist teams with critical development tasks as needed.
• Participate in incident management events, offering consultative recommendations for resolutions.
• Maintain collaborative strategic partnerships with customers, vendors, business partners, and technology teams.
• Mentor staff to develop technical engineering capabilities and share expertise to foster continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
• 12–15+ years of Anaplan Configuration Engineering experience.
• 10+ years of building scalable and maintainable planning models.
• 5+ years of Solutions Engineer experience specifically with Anaplan.
• Strong preference for Anaplan Certified Model Builder.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to translate needs into actionable technical specifications.
• Experience designing and implementing integrations between Anaplan and other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, data warehouses).
• Experience acting as a technical advisor/coach on complex Anaplan issues and communicating complex topics to non‑technical partners.
• Proficiency with product and system components of technical architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance operations, objectives, and strategies as well as global business and technology trends.
• Strong influencing and consensus building skills, and adaptability to respond to change quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with all organizational levels and diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with agile practices and expectations.
• Strong consulting skills and recognized thought leadership within the industry.
• Ability to balance long‑term strategic vision with short‑term decision impacts.
