Job summary

Stash is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to own and evolve the analytics foundation, including a dbt-powered data mart, Looker semantic layer, and data quality systems. You’ll work across Product, Growth, Finance, and Data Science to ensure trusted self-serve data and scalable metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering-oriented roles owning critical reporting domains.
• Advanced SQL with production-grade dimensional modeling and dbt best practices.
• Experience with a modern cloud warehouse (Redshift, Snowflake) and data tooling.
• Experience exposing trusted metrics in Looker and semantic layers.

Responsibilities

• Own core mart domains end-to-end: design, build, and maintain production dbt models for key domains.
• Reduce dbt test failures, improve tests, and document exceptions with clear ownership.
• Collaborate with Backend and Product Engineering on instrumentation and schema changes.
• Turn DS modeling requests into governed mart objects and build Looker explores/views.
• Improve data ops: reliability, retries, and performance optimizations.
• Partner with Data Engineering on upstream data quality and ingestion.
• Mentor teammates and promote quality through code reviews and AI-assisted tooling.
