Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Data Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering or related field.
• Experience providing technical leadership on complex projects.
• Expert-level SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with dbt or similar tools.
• Strong data architecture, modeling, and semantic layer design.
• Cloud lakehouse experience (S3, Iceberg, Trino).
• Familiarity with AI readiness and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the development of analytics data models and lakehouse layers using dbt, SQL, and Python.
• Define and govern the semantic layer as a trusted source for reporting and AI apps.
• Lead context engineering involving metadata and AI-ready interfaces.
• Design solutions for LLMs and AI agents to interpret data.
• Develop and support production-grade data and machine learning pipelines.
• Work with Dagster and AWS to build scalable data workflows.
• Establish data quality, testing, and engineering standards.
• Conduct code reviews and promote best practices.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Contribute to organizational analytics and AI data strategy.
