Job summary

SHI International Corp. seeks a Sr. Software Engineer - Analytics Engineering to design and optimize semantic models in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, delivering scalable insights across the organization.

The role requires deep modeling expertise, governance, and collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders. Hybrid work arrangements are available in Austin, TX or Somerset, NJ, with a focus on data quality and performance.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience developing Power BI solutions, including semantic models and enterprise analytics assets.
Hands-on experience with Power BI tools such as Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, and ALM Toolkit.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including semantic models and analytics workloads.
Familiarity with lakehouse storage concepts and Parquet/Delta formats.
Experience with Agile delivery practices and version control using GitHub or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Design, optimize, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI semantic models for scalable insights.
Develop advanced DAX measures to support complex business logic and reporting.
Ensure models are scalable, high-performing, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Work within Microsoft Fabric to deliver analytics across lakehouse, warehouse, and pipelines.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver trusted analytics solutions.
