Job summary

Axogen in Tampa, FL is seeking a Sr. Analytics Engineer to own enterprise Power BI semantic models, KPI framework, and BI architecture supporting Finance, Operations, and Executive reporting. The role partners with Analysts, FP&A, IT, and Business Units to ensure consistent metric definitions, scalable reporting, and high-quality decision support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in BI, Analytics Engineering, Data Modeling, or a related role.
• Advanced experience developing enterprise Power BI solutions, including semantic models, reports, dashboards, and governed datasets.
• Expert-level DAX development experience and strong KPI framework knowledge.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and semantic layer design.
• Strong SQL skills and relational database knowledge.
• Experience with Finance, Commercial Analytics, Sales Ops, or BI functions.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain enterprise Power BI semantic models for multiple reporting domains.
• Design and manage model architecture including fact tables, dimensions, and relationships.
• Establish semantic model standards, naming conventions, and governance.
• Define and document KPI calculations, business rules, and reporting definitions.
• Develop advanced DAX measures, calculation groups, and reusable logic.
• Translate requirements into governed metric definitions with stakeholders.
• Ensure KPI consistency across reports and dashboards.
• Support complex financial, sales, territory, pricing, and operational reporting.
• Optimize semantic models for scalability and performance.
• Build and enhance enterprise Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with analysts and finance partners on solutions.
• Support governance, deployment pipelines, and production releases.
