Job summary

C3 Industries is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise data models powering reporting and analytics across its business units. You will transform raw data into governed, reusable models in Snowflake and pull business logic out of scattered reports into a centralized layer.

The role is hands-on and senior, influencing data strategy as the company expands across locations, with collaboration across analysts and stakeholders on complex data solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building production data models and pipelines in a cloud data warehouse; Snowflake preferred, BigQuery a plus.
• Advanced SQL, including window functions, performance tuning, and incremental processing patterns.
• Demonstrated data modeling depth across dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions, and designing for reuse.
• Hands-on experience with dbt or equivalent transformation framework and ingestion tooling like Airbyte, dlt, or Fivetran.
• Working experience with Power BI, including semantic models and DAX; exposure to Fabric, Looker, Omni, or Sigma a plus.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows, code review, and CI/CD for data.
• Python or a comparable scripting language for pipeline and automation work.
• Clear written documentation habits and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.
• Cannabis, retail, CPG, or multi-site manufacturing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Snowflake transformation models for reporting across Retail, Cultivation, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Finance.
• Refactor business logic from Power BI datasets into governed, tested, version-controlled models.
• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines consolidating BigQuery marketing and ecommerce data into Snowflake.
• Define and apply a consistent modeling approach covering naming standards, grain, conformed dimensions, and master data.
• Implement automated data quality testing and monitoring, and own resolution when tests fail.
• Document models and lineage so analysts can self-serve without tribal knowledge.
• Partner with analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into durable models.
• Support the semantic layer and BI tooling; evaluate new platforms/tools such as Fabric, dbt, Airbyte, dlt, Omni, Sigma.
• Cross-train with the team and mentor analysts on SQL, modeling, and data quality.
