Job summary

FIGS is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. You will translate business needs into reliable data assets and own curated datasets, semantic models, and analytics frameworks used across Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Ecommerce.

You will design scalable data models, maintain dbt on Snowflake, and mentor junior teammates while driving data governance and self-serve analytics for the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, BI, or related data roles.
• Experience in Ecommerce, Retail, Consumer Products, or DTC businesses.
• Advanced SQL skills with production-grade data models.
• Hands-on experience architecting dbt projects with modeling, tests, and deployment workflows.
• Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Strong dimensional modeling and data warehousing knowledge.
• Experience with Git-based analytics workflows and data quality checks.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable dimensional data models and semantic layers.
• Build and maintain production dbt models in Snowflake with staging, mart, incremental, and semantic layers.
• Develop reusable data products, metrics definitions, and business logic for consistent reporting.
• Establish data lineage, documentation, testing, and governance practices.
• Collaborate with Ecommerce, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Product, and Customer Experience teams.
• Drive KPI definitions, metric governance, and reporting standards.
• Mentor analysts and junior team members on data modeling and SQL development.
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI and automate complex data workflows.
