Job summary

Meta is seeking a Data Engineer, Analytics (Technical Leadership) to lead the data foundation and analytics strategy across Instagram platforms. You will own data architecture for large-scale projects, collaborate with data scientists, PMs and software engineers, and drive end-to-end analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years experience in data warehouse space.
• 10+ years experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
• 10+ years experience with object-oriented programming languages.
• 10+ years experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
• 10+ years experience in authoring SQL statements.
• Experience analyzing data to identify deliverables and gaps.
• Experience communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients.

Responsibilities

• Drive vision for data foundation and analytics across platforms.
• Own data architecture for large-scale projects, weighing design and cost tradeoffs.
• Improve logging data efficacy and triage data issues.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, PMs and Engineers to deliver data needs.
• Define and manage SLAs for data sets in ownership areas.
• Implement security models per privacy requirements and governance processes.
• Design and launch data models and visualizations for multiple products.
• Solve complex data integration problems using ETL patterns and SQL techniques.
• Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and data artifacts.
• Influence cross-functional teams to identify data opportunities.
• Mentor team members with actionable feedback.
