Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Senior Analytics Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines and reporting solutions across multiple environments. You will work within an agile data team, building datasets, metrics, and dashboards to support operational reporting and decision-making.

The role requires strong SQL, data modeling, and experience migrating SAS solutions to dbt and Power BI. Hybrid work arrangements are available at several office locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient developing data pipelines utilizing dbt, GitHub and Airflow, or similar technologies.
• Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Property & Casualty (P&C) claims data/analytics experience or any P&C insurance industry experience.
• Hybrid work requirement: location specific

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data delivery solutions supporting operational data reporting including datasets, extracts, reports and dashboards.
• Design efficient, scalable data models and data delivery solutions for complex projects.
• Migrate SAS solutions to dbt, Power BI and other GEICO-friendly technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design data models and architectures.
• Perform testing, validation, and deployment of data pipelines; automate maintenance.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and peers.
