Job summary

Lilly is building a greenfield API/oligonucleotide manufacturing site in Houston. The Analytical Molecule Steward leads the analytical science strategy, transferring methods, defining the control strategy, and aligning with TS/MS and engineering to enable startup and eventual commercial manufacturing.

This senior role partners with regulatory and cross-functional teams to ensure readiness, lifecycle management of analyses, and a path to scalable, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree preferred; 8+ years in analytical sciences within pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the startup of DS analytical methods at the Houston site.
• Define and own the analytical control strategy for assigned molecules.
• Collaborate with TS/MS, Engineering and site leadership to meet readiness and validation timelines.
• Provide analytical governance and mentorship to QC teams.

Education

Advanced degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field
