Job summary

DMC Biotechnologies, Inc. in RTP/Morrisville, NC is seeking a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to support the analytical chemistry platform, from strain design through testing and data analysis. The role requires hands-on HPLC/UPLC experience to generate robust datasets.

This 12-month project position is grant-funded, on-site in Morrisville, with full DMC employee benefits. Start anticipated October 2026; compensation commensurate with experience and level.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry or related field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on laboratory experience in a biotechnical environment.
• Direct experience operating HPLC/UPLC.
• Quantitative, data-driven analysis of experiments with an analytical mindset.
• Experience following, drafting, and revising SOPs and protocols.
• Ability to manage multiple workflows in a single day.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine sample preparation, analysis, data reduction and reporting.
• Adheres to written protocols and quality tracking.
• Performs routine instrument maintenance and reports repairs as needed to Group Lead.
• Maintains safe practices and a clean lab environment.
• Keeps thorough laboratory records.
• Prepares routine written and oral reporting of activities and results.
