Job description

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) powers the industries of today and tomorrow by connecting the people with big ideas to the manufacturers who can bring them to life. Xometry's digital marketplace gives manufacturers the critical resources they need to grow their business while also making it easy for buyers at Fortune 1000 companies to tap into global manufacturing capacity.

As Xometry moves from transactional custom parts into recurring production programs, the planning problem changes shape. Strategic programs commit us to volumes, lead times, and capacity months ahead of demand, across a distributed network of manufacturing partners. Doing that well requires demand and supply planning capabilities that do not fully exist yet.

The Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Planning will build them. This role is responsible for developing the demand planning, supply planning, and analytical capabilities that underpin Xometry's strategic programs, and for turning those capabilities into decisions leadership can act on: what capacity to secure, where to place volume, what inventory to hold, and where the risk sits.

Alongside the planning mandate, this role will directly program manage a set of new and emerging opportunities. These are programs without an established playbook, where the work is to structure the problem, stand up the operating approach, and prove it out before handing it to a steady-state owner.

This is a build role as much as a run role. It suits someone with strong analytical fundamentals and a consulting-grade ability to structure ambiguity, who wants to own the answer through implementation rather than stop at the recommendation.

This role reports to the Director, Strategic Program Enablement.

What You'll Do
Own Demand and Supply Planning for Strategic Programs
  • Build and maintain demand forecasts for strategic production programs, using customer forecasts, order history, and input from account and program teams
  • Translate demand into partner capacity requirements, production placement, material plans, and lead time commitments
  • Monitor partner capacity, production schedules, and inventory positions, and flag shortfalls, excess, and on-time delivery risk early
  • Run the recurring supply and demand review with commercial, operations, and partner network stakeholders, and drive decisions and follow-ups to closure
  • Set and track planning KPIs such as forecast accuracy, capacity coverage, on-time delivery, and
Deliver Analysis That Drives Decisions
  • Maintain a consolidated view of demand, committed capacity, and program loading across the strategic program portfolio
  • Build scenario models to test the impact of volume changes, capacity constraints, partner changes, and program ramps
  • Lead the analysis behind capacity, sourcing, safety stock, and cost-to-serve decisions, and present findings with clear recommendations
  • Build reusable models, dashboards, and reports rather than one-off analyses
  • Define planning data requirements and work with Product and Data teams to improve inputs, definitions, and systems
Support New and Emerging Opportunities
  • Support program managers on new opportunities with demand and capacity planning, timelines, and status tracking
  • Set up the reporting and metrics a new program needs to track cost, quality, and delivery through pilot and ramp
  • Coordinate with partners and internal teams on schedules, material, and shipment plans during program launches
  • Document planning processes and templates so they can be reused as more programs come on board
Partner Across the Organization
  • Work with Sales and Account teams to turn customer roadmaps and forecasts into planning inputs
  • Partner with the Partner Network and Field Deployed Engineering teams on partner capacity and production placement
  • Align with Finance on volume assumptions, cost models, and margin implications
  • Communicate planning assumptions, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to program leads and senior leadership
What You'll Need
Core Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, or materials planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Track record of owning a forecast, a supply plan, or a production schedule and being accountable for the results
  • Experience running or supporting an S&OP or supply and demand review process
  • Strong quantitative and modeling skills, with advanced Excel or Google Sheets required
  • Experience with SQL or a comparable analytical tool, and with building dashboards in a BI tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
  • Experience working with suppliers or contract manufacturers on capacity, schedules, and material
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including presenting analysis to senior leaders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in contract manufacturing or a multi-supplier network environment
  • Experience with ERP and advanced planning systems
  • Experience designing or improving an S&OP or IBP process
  • Experience with Python or R for analysis
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP)
  • Experience supporting production programs through launch and ramp
  • How You Work
    • Detail-oriented and accurate, with the judgment to know when the data is good enough to decide
    • Structures messy problems quickly and is comfortable being the first person to work on them
    • Builds repeatable processes and tools rather than relying on one-time efforts
    • Follows through, keeping plans current and closing the loop with stakeholders
    • Influences without authority across commercial, operational, and technical teams

The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $92,000 - $118,000 annually
