Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors in Katy, TX is seeking a Sr Analyst Supply Chain Optimization to partner across Transportation, Merchandising and DC Operations. You will analyze freight flow, identify constraints, and apply data-driven insights to improve service levels, cost efficiency, and predictability in our global network.

You will develop forecasts, dashboards, and planning models while collaborating with carriers, 3PLs, Finance and IT to drive adoption of new tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Distribution or Logistics or equivalent years of experience preferred.
• 5+ years of logistics, inventory management and transportation experience
• Demonstrated experience improving vendor performance, supporting compliance programs, or contributing to upstream supply chain improvements
• Experience working cross-functionally with Merchandising, Transportation, Finance, IT, and DC Operations
• Strong understanding of TMS, ERP, and related supply chain systems
• Process optimization expertise and ability to identify opportunities for efficiency gains
• Experience building KPIs, dashboards, models, and performance reports
• Strong presentation and communication skills across all organizational levels
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills with familiarity in Access
• Experience supporting change management and process adoption

Responsibilities

• Lead optimization initiatives connecting Merchandising, Transportation, Distribution Center Operations, Finance, and Technology teams
• Develop forecasts, performance dashboards, scenario models, and planning frameworks that support business decisions and network performance
• Your work will influence operational efficiency, carrier relationships, process improvements, and long-term supply chain effectiveness
• Collaborate daily with transportation carriers, third-party logistics partners, Distribution Center leaders, Merchandising teams, Finance partners, and Technology stakeholders
• Validate assumptions, uncover opportunities, support system enhancements, and drive adoption of new tools and processes
