Job summary

EAB is seeking a Senior Analyst to partner with sales and account management in Washington, DC or Richmond, VA. The role requires in-depth analysis, data-driven insights, and a strong technical foundation across data platforms.

You will build dashboards, ensure data quality, and translate business questions into actionable analyses, while collaborating with leadership to optimize performance and guide strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical/quantitative field.
  • 3-4+ years of work experience in an analytical or operational capacity.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and/or SQL to query and analyze business data.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and insights from data.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize ambiguous work and establish an effective plan independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to improve analytical skills.

TheCommercial Analyticsteam enables EAB to take a highly data-driven approach to managing the business. Our customers are our peers – from account managers to the CEO – and our objective is to provide them with the insights and analysis that inform their decisions and help guide firm strategy to maximize revenue.

As a Senior Analyst, you will act as a key partner to the sales and account management leadership team by providing visibility into the department’s performance. You will perform in-depth analysis to identify opportunities, set strategy, and allocate resources. To be successful, you will need to establish a technical proficiency across common data & analytics platforms, and build a comprehensive understanding of our organization. Ideal candidates for this position will have exceptional critical thinking and communication skills, and must be highly motivated to tackle challenging problems and provide outstanding service.

Our current opportunity is based in Washington, D.C. or Richmond, VA., and requires regular in-person presence in the office, generally at least one day per week.

This position is posted at both the Analyst and Senior Analyst levels; candidates are being considered across both levels based on experience, with final level determined at the time of offer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting commercial performance in order to set expectations for the executive team
  • Owning recurring reporting, meetings, and deliverables for assigned commercial leadership teams
  • Maintaining the integrity and reliability of underlying data and infrastructure, including proactively identifying and resolving data quality issues and improving processes to support accurate, scalable reporting and analysis
  • Analyzing specific business problems or new initiatives, and synthesizing analyses into concise conclustions, recommendations, and stakeholder communications
  • Translating ambiguous business requests into structured work plans that define the question, required inputs, analytical approach, milestones, risks, and final deliverables
  • Collaborating with commercial leadership to understand pressing business needs and act as a strategic thought partner to address those needs
  • Using SQL to transform and clean data for the purpose of downstream analysis
  • Creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations in Excel to generate actionable insight
  • Setting and maintaining sales and renewal goals based on historical performance data and qualitative feedback

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in an analytical/quantitative field (e.g. economics, statistics, business, etc.)
  • Minimum 3-4+ years of work experience in an analytical or operational capacity
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and/or SQL to query and analyze business data
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and insights from data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others and gain the trust of stakeholders
  • Ability to organize ambiguous work, identify missing information, and establish an effective plan without waiting for step-by-step direction
  • Strong attention to detail with a desire to solve challenging problems, and to constantly improve technical/analytical skills by learning new methods

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience synthesizing complex data and communicating the most important conclusions clearly to nontechnical stakeholders, including executives
  • Demonstrated ownership of a multi-step project, analysis, or operational process from initial definition through final delivery.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) systems

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary (base) range for thisrole is$70,000 - $85,500per year. Actual salary variesdue to factors that may include but not be limited torelevant experience, skills, and location.At EAB, it isnot typical for an individual to be hired at or near thetop of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionarybonus or incentive compensation. Variablecompensation may depend on various factors,such as individual andorganizational performance.
