Job summary

Shiseido Americas, headquartered in New York, seeks a Finance/Accounting professional to join the Americas FP&A team. This role partners with cross-functional leadership to deliver monthly closes, forecasts, and performance insights critical to driving profit and efficiency.

You will build financial models, support budget processes, and communicate results to management. Candidates should have 2–5 years in finance, strong Excel/PowerPoint, and experience with SAP and BPC.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in Finance/Accounting function.
• Strong base of finance and accounting technical skills.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint. Knowledge of SAP and BPC Preferred
• Ability to balance between detail orientation and the high-level summaries while maintaining accuracy
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex issues in a simple manner
• Aptitude to learn and drive continuous improvement and solve problems in a team environment.
• Highly motivated, self-starter who manages projects end-to-end and has a demonstrated track record of getting results, organizing and prioritizing deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Maintain positive attitude.
• Ability to multi-task several important priorities simultaneously
• Experience in Beauty/Fashion/retail industry preferred, but not required.
• Must be very organized, detail oriented and able to work under tight timelines. Must be able to prioritize and communicate well.
• 4 year Degree in Finance/Accounting required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Management in achieving its Sales and Operating Profit target through effective budgets, forecasts, control of expenses and assets, reporting and analysis.
• Support and partner closely with cross-functional Business Leadership and region finance team.
• Key member of the Americas FP&A team that will partner with the business to ensure the achievement of goals, prioritization of investments and opportunities.
• Execute month-end close responsibilities with a strong control environment.
• Deliver ongoing reporting, analytics and insight on performance metrics to benchmark progress against targets and strategies.
• Manage financial plans and forecasts of the business and provide visibility to performance vs. expectations.
• Proactively engage and build relationships with finance and business teams on initiatives.
• Provide decision support through ad-hoc analysis, financial modelling and thought leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement and optimize efficiency and customer value in financial processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Proactively engage and build strong relationships with finance and business teams to stay connected on initiatives
• Provide decision support to finance and business teams through ad-hoc analysis, financial modelling and thought leadership. Challenge business partners, as needed, to drive better decisions
• Drive continuous improvement and seek to optimize efficiency and customer value in all financial processes and business support functions

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
