Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Procurement professional to manage materials and services for engineering labs, and to support prototypes across multiple sites in the United States. You will collaborate with program, operations, engineering, and planning teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to policies.

The role requires experience with SAP/Ariba and strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with stakeholders at all levels and across sites. U.S.

Qualifications

• University degree or advanced degree in related field.
• 2+ years of prior experience in supply chain or procurement.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems in procurement.
• Experience with Ariba or similar systems.
• Ability to manage detailed work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement.

Job description

• Procure parts, tools, fixtures, and equipment for engineering labs
• Support engineering proof-of-concept and proof-of-function prototypes
• Evaluate engineering procurement needs and determine effective procurement strategies compliant with policies and procedures
• Act as primary liaison for the material and supply organization, partnering with program, operations, engineering, and planning teams
• Review and manage materials, supplies, and services supporting program requirements
• Evaluate needs and recommend suppliers aligned to program objectives through order completion
• Provide supply chain support across multiple Avionics sites
• Partner with procurement teams to prioritize available material, supplier constraints, and high-risk issues affecting program schedules
• Analyze complex supply chain challenges and develop policy-aligned solutions
• Establish priorities and manage activities to meet program timelines and deliverables
• Serve as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with senior personnel on cross-functional supply chain initiatives
• Utilize SAP and Ariba systems and standard supply chain processes to manage procurement execution and material outcomes

Requirements

• University degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field
• Experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP systems in supply chain or procurement
• Experience utilizing Ariba or similar systems in supply chain or procurement
• Ability to manage detailed work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage stakeholders across all organizational levels
• Experience coordinating supply chain activities across multiple sites or organizations
• U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems
