Cardinal Health is seeking an Inventory Management professional to support on-site operations at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. The role blends data analysis with hands-on stock management across multiple stock sites.

You will collaborate with government representatives, ensure timely order processing, and maintain accurate packing lists and inventory records while delivering reliable service in a highly regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3–5 years in inventory management, project management, supply technician, or data and administration in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inventory for stock sites.
• Work with authorized government representatives to compose the order; you may never create the order.
• Obtain Government authorization for the order; an Authorized Government Representative (AGR) will be available at each stock site.
• Provide notification on materiel not available to the stock site within two hours of order authorization.
• Deliver and restock materiel to the stock sites within 24 hours of order receipt (on business days).
• Provide priced packing lists to the COR or AGR prior to restocking.
• Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks.
• Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity.
• Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes actions to resolve.
• Applies judgment within defined parameters.
• Receives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects.
• Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy.

What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

This position combines data analysis, with physical inventory management of customers various storerooms throughout Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Anticipated salary range: $63,800.00 - $82,260.00
