Job summary

Chamberlain Group, a global leader in intelligent access, seeks an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead ODM/CM engagements from RFP through supplier selection and development phases.

You will drive make-vs-buy analyses, manage supplier risks, and align capacity with product launches. Partner with Finance and Product Management on budgets and TCO, with cross-functional collaboration across engineering and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7+ years of relevant work experience in supply chain, sourcing, or logistics.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product development or related teams.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; comfortable presenting project updates and/or recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of ERP – SAP, Power BI, Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end ODM/CM engagement from RFP through supplier selection and all sourcing deliverables.
  • Develop ODM/CM sourcing strategy for new product introductions based on project requirements.
  • Lead make-vs-buy analyses and ODM-vs-Nogales trade-off assessments for new products.
  • Manage supplier risks and ensure supply commitments align with launch timelines.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Product Management on budgets, tooling, and total cost of ownership.

Our flagship brands, LiftMaster and Chamberlain , are found in 51+ million homes, and 14 million+ people rely on the myQ app daily.Independently lead end-to-end ODM/CM engagement from RFP through supplier selection, owning all sourcing deliverables during POC, EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP rampExecute the ODM/CM sourcing strategy for all new product introductions, aligning with category sourcing on selection based on product, volume, and technology requirements of new and upcoming projectsLead make-vs-buy analyses and ODM-vs-Nogales trade-off assessments for new productsParticipate in DVF/toll gate reviews and ensure sourcing deliverables are met at each development phaseServe as the primary Sourcing representative for NPD teamsCollaborate with Program Management to align ODM/CM deliverables with product launch schedulesIndependently and proactively manage, help support or lead resolution of supplier risks that could impact time-to-marketManage and report on ODM/CM manufacturing capacity, ensuring supply commitments are aligned with product launch timelines and demand forecastsDevelop PowerPoint decks covering program status, costs, sourcing risks, decisions, blockers, mitigations, and timelinesLead meetings cross-functionally to facilitate decision making and drive clarityEngage and communicate with Director+ level stakeholders on a regular basis to communicate and align on project statusNegotiate project scope agreements (e.g. SOW) including NRE, tooling, unit pricing, capacity commitments, and IP ownershipWork with Finance and Product Management on NRE budgets, tooling amortization, and total cost of ownership for make-vs-buy decisions or other analysis purposesLead supplier meetings as needed; hold suppliers accountable to commitments and conflict resolutionLead basic supplier negotiations as required on a project-by-project basisPartner with Quality to support and enforce supplier quality requirements as needed, including PPAPCollaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems Engineering during design phases to align product requirements with ODM quotation and scope of work.Collaborate with Legal to discuss IP in supplier engagements and work with category sourcing to ensure proper documentation is in place when necessaryMinimum QualificationsEducation/Certifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceExperience:5-7+ yrs of relevant work experience in supply chain, sourcing, or logisticsDemonstrated experience in working cross-functionally with engineering and product development or related teamsSupplier relationship managementStrong analytical and communication skills; comfortable presenting project updates and/or recommendations to senior leadership.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong analytical skillsMicrosoft Office SuiteDemonstrated experience in working cross-functionally with engineering and product development or related teamsSupplier relationship managementOther:Able to travel up to 10% - domestically and internationallyPreferred QualificationsEducation/Certifications:Masters DegreeExperience:Solid knowledge of Operations (production capacity, lead times), Purchasing (POs, MOQ), Finance (cost structure, profit margin, productivity), Manufacturing (cycle time, MVA, SG&A), Transportation (logistics, incoterms, freight costs)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:ERP – SAPPower BIExcel Analytic toolsChamberlain Group wants all of its employees to succeed and encourages people of all backgrounds to apply.
