Job description

The Innovation & AI Senior Analyst will support the firm's Innovation & AI strategy by coordinating, executing, and scaling key innovation and legal‑technology initiatives across the firm. The role focuses on managing technology pilots, developing and refining practice use cases, and supporting the design and deployment of client‑facing solutions that enhance service delivery and create new value for clients.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between partners, lawyers, business services teams, and external vendors to move innovation initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Lead structured pilot programs, including scoping, requirements gathering, testing, feedback collection, and evaluation, to determine which tools and solutions should be scaled across the firm, within specific practice groups, or for key transaction types.
  • Work closely with practice groups to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, enhance matter and transaction delivery, and develop new client offerings through the use of AI, automation, data, legal technology, and transactions technology.
  • Coordinate and manage end‑to‑end innovation, legal‑technology, and transactions‑technology initiatives, from initial concept through pilot and implementation.
  • Develop, document, and refine practice‑specific technology use cases, articulating problem statements, desired outcomes, and measurable benefits.
  • Support the design, build, and deployment of client‑facing tools, dashboards, and solutions that leverage AI, automation, data, and legal technology to enhance client service and differentiate the firm's offerings.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation (project plans, status reports, requirements documents, testing scripts, training materials) to support effective execution and governance.
  • Develop and deliver training, demos, and guidance materials to lawyers and business services teams to drive adoption and effective use of new tools and solutions.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on the performance and impact of deployed tools and initiatives, using agreed KPIs and feedback to recommend enhancements and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement and execution of the firm's Innovation & AI strategic roadmap, providing insights from pilots, user feedback, and market developments.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; a degree in business, information systems, computer science, law, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in a law firm, professional services, financial services, or technology/consulting environment, with exposure to legal operations, innovation, or technology implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting technology projects or pilots, ideally involving AI, automation, data analytics, or legal/transactions technology tools.

Technical and Professional Skills

  • Familiarity with AI and automation concepts (machine learning, NLP, generative AI) and their application to legal workflows and transaction processes.
  • Strong understanding of legal technology tools (document automation, contract review, due diligence, deal management, data rooms, collaboration platforms).
  • Solid project coordination or project management skills, including scoping, requirements gathering, testing, and stakeholder communication.
  • Proficiency with standard business tools (Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort working with data, dashboards, or basic analytics.

Core Competencies

  • Ability to work effectively with partners, lawyers, and business services teams, translating between legal/user needs and technical requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to break down complex processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose practical technology‑enabled solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of clear documentation, presentations, and training materials.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail, managing multiple matters, pilots, and stakeholders in parallel.
  • Collaborative, client‑service mindset, focused on driving adoption, measurable value, and continuous improvement.
  • Curiosity and adaptability, with an interest in staying current on emerging AI, legaltech, and transactions technology trends and best practices.
