Job summary

Waites is seeking a Senior Analyst for Financial Planning & Analysis in Cincinnati, OH. This role partners with the CFO and executive team to drive FP&A, budgeting, and financial modeling within a manufacturing/SaaS context.

Responsibilities include developing cross-functional financial plans, identifying risks and opportunities, and mentoring the Accounting team. Onsite with remote flexibility as needed; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning in manufacturing/SaaS.
• Experience in manufacturing/SaaS industries preferred.
• Experience utilizing AI to develop dashboards and automate FP&A work.
• Passion for AI to grow Waites' FP&A practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Expert proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
• Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.

• Oversee annual budgeting and periodic forecasting across departments.
• Monitor KPIs and explain variances between actuals and forecasts.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and craft mitigation plans.
• Communicate insights to CFO and non-finance stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Accounting to mentor the team and drive improvements.
• Translate complex questions into data-driven analyses for leaders.
• Analyze product profitability, pricing, ROI of investments.
• Maintain per subscriber and unit economics of revenue streams.
• Benchmark internally and externally to identify best practices.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance & Accounting department as a Senior Analyst of FP&A. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and passionate about people and numbers. This individual will play a crucial role of advisor to the CFO and executive team, driving the financial planning and analysis, budgeting and financial modeling function of the organization. The ideal candidate also will have a deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning within a manufacturing and SaaS context. Job Description

This position will give you the opportunity to:

• Act as a crucial advisor to the CFO and senior management team, driving the financial planning and analysis function of the company
• Lead the development of short and long-term financial plans, aligning them with the company's strategic objectives
• Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities; provide actionable insights to guide decision-making
• Oversee the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all departments
• Develop and monitor key financial performance indicators, comparing actual results with forecasts, and investigating variances to understand underlying business drivers
• Identify financial risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks while capitalizing on opportunities
• Communicate financial insights and recommendations effectively to the CFO, senior management, and non-finance stakeholders
• Collaborate with and help mentor the Accounting team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Work closely with the Accounting team to accomplish shared goals.
• Translate complex questions into data-driven analyses to allow leaders to make informed decisions
• Conduct analysis around product profitability, pricing, ROI of investments
• Maintain per subscriber and unit economics of company revenue streams
• Conduct internal and external benchmarking to identify best practices and metrics
• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives

Requirements

• Deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning within a manufacturing/SaaS context
• Experience in a manufacturing/SaaS industries highly preferred
• Experience utilizing AI to develop dashboards and automate FP&A work
• Passion for AI and how it can be used to grow and evolve Waites' FP&A practices
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Expert proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools
• Proficiency in Netsuite or related ERP systems
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• Excellent leadership and team development skills
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
