Job summary

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to drive financial planning processes, including forecasting and budgeting, across the organization. You will lead data modeling, dashboards, and strategic analysis to support decision-making.

The role emphasizes developing tools for streamlined FP&A, collaboration with multiple teams, and ensuring internal controls while working onsite in Hershey, PA.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Financial Planning and Analysis or related experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Hospitality Management or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Create and distribute monitoring tools such as labor reports, cost of sales analyses, and P&L statements and suggest improvements.
  • Assist with capital planning, tracking, reporting, and forecasting capital spend; ensure compliance with asset policy.
  • Develop automated, user-friendly templates for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Provide strategic thinking and advanced problem solving and support FP&A deliverables to non-financial partners.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned.

This position will work as a business liaison with others across the organization to drive key financial planning processes such as forecasting, budgeting, data aggregation, and analytics. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide daily oversight, guidance, and strategic analysis of key financial metrics and will support the implementation and enforcement of internal controls. This position will also be responsible for data modeling and dashboard creation.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
  • Create and distribute a variety of monitoring tools such as labor reports, cost of sales analyses, and profit and loss statements and offer suggestions for operational and/or financial improvement based on this analysis.*
  • Assist with the capital planning and spending process, which includes analyzing, tracking, reporting, and forecasting capital spend as well as ensuring compliance with the capital asset policy.*
  • Continually seek new and improved ways to analyze and present data to management with greater automation and clarity. *
  • Develop user-friendly, standardized templates for financial analysis, incorporating automation where possible.*
  • Provide strategic thinking and advanced problem solving skills.*
  • Assist in the development and deployment of tools to enhance the FP&A function as well as deliverables to non-financial partners.*
  • Assist with other projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Financial Planning and Analysis or related experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree - Business Administration, Finance, Hospitality Management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Comprehensive knowledge/experience working with advanced functions of Excel and Google Sheets, as well as other Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
