Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver data-driven insights, develop reporting solutions, and analyze key financial metrics to support business decisions. The role focuses on creating Tableau dashboards, SQL data workflows, and partnering with stakeholders to drive financial performance.

You will automate reporting, ensure data accuracy, and leverage AI tools to enhance analytics across Finance and Business Units.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in finance analytics or FP&A.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau.
• Familiarity with AI tools and technologies for data analysis and automation.
• Ability to translate data into business insights.

Job Description:

The Senior Financial Analyst supports Finance and Business Unit teams by delivering data-driven insights, developing reporting solutions, and analyzing key financial metrics to support business decisions. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining Tableau dashboards, extracting and transforming data using SQL, and partnering with stakeholders to provide actionable analysis on financial performance, trends, and operational drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports for Finance and Business Unit stakeholders.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Extract, transform, and validate data using SQL from enterprise databases.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support business planning and decision-making.
• Partner with Finance teams and business leaders to understand reporting needs and deliver analytical solutions.
• Automate reporting processes and improve data accessibility and efficiency.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and analytics platforms.
• Leverage AI tools to improve analytics workflows, automate tasks, and enhance insight generation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• 5 years of experience.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau.
• Familiarity with AI tools and technologies for data analysis, reporting, and process automation.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting Finance, FP&A, Accounting, or Business Unit stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Experience with Python or other data automation tools.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, or P&L analysis.
• Experience working with large datasets and enterprise data warehouses.
