Job summary

Hyatt Shared Service Center is seeking a Senior Analyst - Finance Evolution to modernize how Finance operates across Hyatt. You will partner with Finance and technology teams to map processes, identify automation opportunities, and deliver practical automation, dashboards, and data transformations that improve cost efficiency and hotel profitability.

You will collaborate with Financial Systems, Data & Analytics, ServiceNow, and other tech teams, plan projects, manage releases, and drive adoption

Qualifications

• 3+ years in business process analysis, process redesign, or automation.
• Experience gathering requirements, analyzing workflows, and translating needs into solutions.
• Experience delivering or supporting automation initiatives, including testing and rollout.
• Ability to plan with Finance stakeholders and technology teams.

Responsibilities

The Hyatt Shared Service is seeking is a Senior Analyst- Finance Evolution. This position will help modernize how Finance work gets done across Hyatt. The Senior Analyst, Finance Evolution partners with Finance colleagues and technology teams to understand processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver practical automation and data solutions. This work reduces repetitive effort and helps colleagues focus on analysis that supports business insight, cost efficiency, and hotel-level profitability.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance stakeholders to map processes, gather requirements, and translate business needs into clear solution designs.
• Analyze and redesign workflows; identify automation opportunities and recommend practical ways to simplify Finance work.
• Develop, configure, deploy, and support solutions such as automated workflows, dashboards, scorecards, and data transformations.
• Coordinate with Financial Systems, Data & Analytics, ServiceNow, and other technology teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
• Plan project work, estimate effort and resource needs, facilitate design sessions, and communicate progress and risks.
• Coordinate change management, user acceptance testing, defect triage, and production releases with business and technology partners.
• Monitor production solution health, respond to incidents, resolve issues, and improve solutions based on feedback and results.
• Create user guidance and training, support adoption, and share effective practices and solution knowledge across global teams.
• Stay current on relevant tools and approaches and recommend process improvements that can reduce effort or cost.
• Encourage adoption of improved processes and tools and help colleagues adapt to changes in how Finance work is performed.

Qualifications

Experience

At least 3 years of experience in business process analysis, process redesign, automation, or a related field.

Experience gathering requirements, analyzing workflows, and translating business needs into workable solutions.

Experience delivering or supporting process improvement or automation initiatives, including testing, rollout, and ongoing support.

Ability to collaborate with Finance stakeholders and technology teams to plan and deliver cross-functional work.

Clear communication skills and the ability to explain changes, train users, and support adoption.

Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and work with limited supervision.

Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes.

Hospitality, shared services, or multi-entity finance experience preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job

• MS Office

Experience with no-code/low-code automation platforms (Alteryx Designer or Server preferred)

Experience with enterprise analytics and data visualization tools (e.g. ThoughtSpot, Tableau, or Power BI preferred)

Experience with modern data cloud platforms and data warehousing technologies (e.g. Snowflake)

Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming languages is an advantage.

Experience with ERP and financial systems (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion)

Proactive and well organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet project deadlines while managing competing priorities.

Adaptable and comfortable working with limited supervision and changing priorities.

Ability to support process change through stakeholder partnership, user training, and continued attention to adoption and compliance.
