About the Job

The Senior Analyst Domestic Planning role is responsible for developing and optimizing network strategies that maximize profitability, operational efficiency, and customer value for an assigned hub. This position analyzes market performance, capacity needs, and scheduling opportunities to support strategic planning decisions. The role partners closely with teams across network planning, operations, and other key business functions to deliver data-driven recommendations and long-term planning initiatives. Candidates will have the opportunity to influence network strategy through analytical insights, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Core Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategic forecasts, analyses, and recommendations that support domestic network planning and long-term business objectives
• Analyze market demand, route performance, profitability trends, and capacity needs to identify opportunities for network optimization
• Perform data analysis to support scheduling, planning, and operational decision-making
• Partner with stakeholders across planning, operations, and other business teams to gather data, develop insights, and align strategic initiatives
• Participate in cross-departmental projects and planning efforts that support network growth, operational feasibility, and profitability goals
• Support schedule development and publication activities, including evaluating potential schedule adjustments and planning alternatives
• Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance forecasting accuracy, planning effectiveness, and decision-making
• Create presentations and communicate analytical findings and strategic recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders

NOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement including approximately 50% of the time spent working onsite at our Chicago office location and remotely.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in strategic planning, network planning, airline scheduling, logistics, analytics, or a related field
• Bachelor's degree required
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, SQL and/or other data analysis tools
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and present insights to leadership
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and effectively leverages them to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem solving. Applies critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to organizational policies for responsible AI use, data privacy and security.
• Experience supporting airline network planning, scheduling, capacity forecasting, or route analysis
• Experience developing strategic business recommendations using quantitative analysis
• Project leadership experience in a complex business environment
• Experience preparing executive-level presentations and recommendations

The base pay range for this role is $81,795.00 to $106,602.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
