The Senior Analyst - Corporate Accounting serves as a key contributor to WSFS Bank's accounting, financial reporting, and control environment. This role partners across Finance and the broader organization to ensure accurate and timely period-end close processes, maintain a strong internal control framework, drive process improvements, and provide financial insights that support business decision-making. The Senior Analyst executes and reviews complex accounting activities and contributes to strategic Finance initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute and support assigned areas from the period-end financial close process, including:
• Prepare, record, and review journal entries.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure reconciling items are researched, supported, and decisioned in accordance with company policy.
• Perform financial analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends and unusual fluctuations, investigate variances, and communicate findings and recommendations to management.
• Collaborate on the resolution of accounting matters, assisting business partners in understanding accounting treatment and related activities.
• Drive process improvement initiatives by leveraging automation, data analytics, and technology solutions to improve efficiency, enhance reporting capabilities, strengthen controls, and reduce operational risk.
• Key contributor in ensuring SOX compliance for areas of responsibility, including maintenance of SOX process documentation, self-testing controls, managing audit requests and if necessary, develop remediation plans for ineffective controls.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required.
• CPA certification or an MBA is a plus but not required.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in an accounting department and/or public accounting. Previous experience within a publicly traded company, bank, financial services institution, or wealth management organization is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX and reporting requirements.
• Must demonstrate understanding of banking and wealth management products and services, including deposits, loans, investments, trust and fiduciary activities, fee-based revenue, and applicable regulatory reporting requirements.
• Previous experience with journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement analysis.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy; shows an ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.
• Demonstrates various process-driven approaches to identify solutions and solving problems. Possesses a strong sense of urgency.
• Concise oral and written communications. Ability to interact effectively with staff and management across the organization.
• Technology focused with a proven ability to automate and/or streamline processes to improve effectiveness and/or efficiency, reduce risk.
• Prior experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Teams.
• Experience with Workiva is a plus but not required.

Salary Range

$64,491.00 - $105,949.50

Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate's experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
