Responsibilities
  • Supports the implementation of OEC analytics and digital platforms, including creation of user training and guidance documents, design and implementation of processes to support Compliance analytics deployments, and guiding users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and go-live activities.
  • Utilizes the US OEC Operations analytics and other systems/tools to identify and monitor potential areas of compliance vulnerability, risk and trends; conducts compliance-related data analysis and creates data stories to communicate areas of potential risk to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensures Compliance observations, mitigation activities and corrective actions based on analysis and findings are documented and managed to completion. Works with management to create proactive recommendations prioritizing issues through various mitigation channels.
  • User advocate – aids in creating a loyal end user base, driving adoption and enhanced user experience. Collaborates with OEC teams, Business Technology, and cross-functional teams to address user needs and develop tailored products that support risk-based priorities across user personas.
  • Supports the use and adoption of analytics and digital platforms through development of effective analytics solutions, input on options and opportunities, and development/delivery of tailored analytics training and communications.
  • Works with OEC and Business Technology teams to articulate dashboard enhancements into user requirements; identifies initiatives to mature and improve analytics insights and reporting processes.
  • Provides in-depth working knowledge of AbbVie internal policies, procedures, and risk environment.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Interface with multiple functions to provide OEC operational and analytics guidance.
  • Data storyteller: interprets PowerBI dashboards and creates data stories to drive organizational change.
  • Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Learns quickly and adapts to evolving priorities.
  • Proven track record of delivering initiatives successfully.
  • Understanding of systems development, implementation, operations, and governance to support processes.
  • Proactively produce reports, presentations, materials, guidelines, and documents; deliver updates to management as required.
  • Supports other global OEC initiatives and operational activities, potentially including ad hoc travel (e.g., US compliance live monitoring).
Qualifications

Education: Bachelors Degree required; advanced degree a plus.

Experience: 5+ years Compliance or transferable pharmaceutical and life sciences industry experience.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to adjust content for various audiences.
  • Customer management: develops relationships with business partners and stakeholders to improve user experience; ability to adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Inquisitive and open-minded with ability to learn and guide to effective solutions for the Compliance program.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik) and platforms that support an effective compliance program.
  • Understanding of business objectives and how they translate to OEC priorities.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical device regulatory landscape (e.g., FDA, PhRMA, OIG, PDMA, ACCME, etc.).
  • Hybrid onsite requirement in Lake County, IL.
