Job summary

Capital One seeks a Senior Business Analyst for Card Loss Forecasting and Allowance to drive analytics, forecasting, and strategic recommendations within Domestic loss forecasting. You will collaborate with IT, Finance, Sales, Operations, and other teams to deliver insights that influence business decisions and financial reporting.

You will apply analytical skills to develop models, test hypotheses, and support step-change improvements in credit performance across the card portfolio.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis.
• Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations.
• Product: Perform modeling/analytics to assist new product and pricing strategies for various lending products
• Marketing: Support direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel.
• Credit Risk: Support step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis
• Execution: Develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and monitoring plan
