The State of South Carolina Department of Insurance seeks a Senior Analyst to conduct risk-focused financial analyses of insurers under the Office of Financial Regulation and Solvency, Captives Division. You will assess financial condition, review complex filings, and guide staff in applying analysis methods while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising analysis quality, reviewing IPS/GPS updates, and coordinating with regulators.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, business administration, finance, or insurance; professional experience in accounting, auditing, finance, insurance, or tax preparation and/or analysis.
• Strong communication skills and understanding of insurance operations, risks, and regulatory processes.
• Ability to aggregate and summarize information from diverse sources; coursework in accounting/auditing preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise the quality of the analysis process and ensure timely completion according to NAIC guidelines.
• Act as primary reviewer for complex risk retention groups and non-RRG captives; review regulatory filings and NAIC tools.
• Assist in higher complexity business plan changes and licensing tasks; coordinate with other regulators.
• Determine assignments and oversight levels based on risk and staff abilities; mentor analysts.
• Review annual/quarterly filings, SPFCs, and related documentation; monitor solvency and regulatory compliance.
