Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience with a state insurance department, public accounting firm, or similar audit/financial entity.
• Active CPA, AFE (Accredited Financial Examiner), or CFE (Certified Financial Examiner) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor solvency and regulatory compliance of insurers to protect Maryland consumers.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of insurers' financial statements and investigate unusual items and potential risks.
• Supervise the work of Financial Analysts within the division.
