Job summary

Piper Sandler seeks an Analyst or Associate to join the Private Capital Advisory team in New York City. The role centers on secondary transactions, including GP-led continuations, with responsibilities in financial modeling, due diligence, and investor outreach.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in investment banking or private equity secondaries, a Bachelor's degree, strong quantitative and written communication skills, and FINRA SIE, 63 and 79 licenses (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of secondary-specific experience in investment banking, private equity secondaries, or other relevant fields
• Bachelor's degree with an exemplary academic record
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop internal and external relationships

Responsibilities

• Preparing materials, including confidential information memorandums, new business pitches, client presentations, and supporting due diligence documents
• Building financial projection models for underlying companies and fund level returns
• Conducting new investor outreach, including participating in investor calls and meetings
• Facilitating due diligence and legal negotiation processes
• Interfacing directly with private equity clients, management teams, and investors
• Assisting in screening and due diligence on prospective new mandates
• Communicating regularly with Private Capital Advisory professionals and across Piper Sandler’s M&A teams
