Job summary

Lazard is seeking an Analyst to join the Secondary Advisory team in New York. You will support presentation materials, financial models, and due diligence for GP-led secondary transactions and fund-level analyses.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of investment banking or private equity experience, strong quantitative skills, and the ability to work closely with deal teams and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of investment banking (M&A or GP-led secondary advisory) or private equity experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with training in the building of presentation materials and financial modelling.
• Proven academic excellence with excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
• Team-player mindset. Ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate both to PCA deal teams and external clients.
• Strong multi-tasking capabilities.
• High level of responsiveness with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a high-quality work product.

Responsibilities

• Prepare presentation materials and pitches for prospective clients.
• Perform comprehensive due diligence on private equity portfolios, evaluating NAV trends to support underwriting of GP-led secondary transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of financial models, including cash flow projections and returns analysis for buyers.
• Drive the preparation of detailed marketing materials, including CIMs, investor presentations, teasers.
• Manage new investor outreach during live transactions and track investor interactions.
• Coordinate responses to complex investor due diligence requests and maintain information flow.
