Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Sr. Analyst to support Affordable Housing Mortgage Bankers in securing and processing loans (agency, FHA, and private placement). The role collaborates with underwriters, closers, and principals to move transactions from due diligence through closing.

You will model, analyze, and underwrite new financing opportunities, deliver property and market analyses to debt investors, and act as a product specialist across Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Private Placement programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or Real Estate.
• 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, real estate, investment banking or consulting including Real Estate Finance.
• High proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with complex spreadsheets.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data from multiple systems.
• Solid understanding and experience in the affordable housing industry.
• Ability to synthesize and analyze large amounts of data and communicate findings.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, independent worker with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support loan origination for agency, FHA, and private placement executions.
• Model, evaluate, and underwrite financing opportunities; provide property and market analyses.
• Collaborate with Mortgage Bankers to propose execution options across Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Private Placement.
• Prepare preliminary and final loan submissions with underwriting and credit teams.
• Coordinate ordering of 3rd party reports and compliance requirements.
• Assist in securing debt financing for multifamily affordable housing projects under supervision of Transaction Manager.
