Job summary

Walmart seeks a Senior Analyst for Walmart Connect in Hoboken, NJ. You will work with Analytics, Sales, and Campaign Management to unlock insights, build analytic solutions, and tell stories that help move media decisions forward.

The role emphasizes predictive modeling, end-to-end analyses, and presenting actionable insights to advertisers, with cross-functional collaboration across teams to drive business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in data analytics or related field.
• Experience working with large datasets and data sources; strong programming skills leveraging SQL, Python or R, and Excel.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver analytic projects that influence media investment strategies and business growth.
• Ensure end-to-end ownership of insights with clear communication and actionable business impact for stakeholders.
• Develop, enhance, and productionize predictive models to generate shopper insights and optimized customer journeys.
• Drive strategic initiatives by identifying issues, forming hypotheses, and translating data into insights and actions.
• Develop hypothesis-driven deliverables and present concrete impact for Walmart Connect advertisers.
• Support executive-level presentations and cross-team information sharing.
• Identify gaps in data sources and work with broader Walmart teams to acquire and summarize sources within Walmart Connect.
• Assist Sales/Marketing in day-to-day operations and special projects.
• Advocate for streamlined processes and improved workflows to enhance reporting efficiency.

WhatYou’llDo:

• Collaborate with theWalmartConnectcross-functionalteams forthe development,executionand deliveryof short and long-termanalyticprojectsthatinfluencemedia investmentstrategiesandbusinessgrowthopportunities

• Ensure delivery of assigned insights analyses with end-to-end ownership,clearcommunication, detailed projectplansand operational processes that drive visibility& accountabilityandclear communication ofbusiness impactfor internal and external stakeholders

• Responsible for the development,enhancement,and production of various predictive models to generate behavioral shopperinsights, target audiences,and optimized customer journeys

• Drive strategic initiativesincludingidentifyingissues, creating hypotheses, executing theanalysisandtranslating data into meaningful insightsand actions.

• Develop and present concretehypothesis-drivenimpactful deliverablesclearly answering the“so-what”clearly forWalmart Connectadvertisers

• Supportthe Sales/Marketingteamsin managing day-to-day operating activities and special projects

• Facilitate the evangelization of the team’s plans,special projects,andprocessesacross theSales & Marketingorganization

• Continuously refine processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in delivering insights and reports.

Basic Qualifications:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and drive results.

• Strong communicationand presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience working with large datasets and data sourceswith strong programmingskillsleveragingSQL, Python/R,andExcel. Must have hands-on experience in SQL.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.

• Strong attention to detail and ability tomaintainhigh levelsof accuracy and integrity.

• Bachelor’s degreeand 2+ years of experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a relevant fieldor 4+ years of experience in a related field

• Practical experience in mining, analyzing and interpreting data through various statistical techniques andpredictive models(e.g.Regression, Time Series, Natural Language Processing, Pattern Recognition, Classification, Segmentation, Deep Learning)

• Thrives under pressure, balancing multiple workstreams and priorities

• Familiarity withAd Servers, DSPs, DMPs, onsite & offsite targetinga plus

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $156,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
