Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain complex analytical models to evaluate renewable fuels pathways (e.g., SAF, renewable diesel, biodiesel, e-fuels), feedstock supply chains, production economics, and lifecycle emissions.
  • Clean, structure, and analyze large, multi-source datasets (market data, policy data, techno-economic inputs, lifecycle data) to generate defensible insights.
  • Develop repeatable analytical frameworks and tools to support scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and long-term market outlooks.
  • Ensure data quality, transparency, and methodological rigor across all analyses and deliverables.
Quantitative & Qualitative Research
  • Conduct quantitative assessments of market size, cost curves, supply/demand dynamics, policy impacts, and infrastructure constraints.
  • Conduct qualitative research including stakeholder interviews, literature reviews, regulatory analysis, and competitive landscape assessments.
  • Integrate quantitative results with qualitative insights to form cohesive, decision-relevant conclusions.
  • Critically evaluate assumptions, uncertainties, and limitations, and clearly communicate their implications.
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality client reports, technical memos, and briefing materials from outline through final publication.
  • Translate complex technical and economic analysis into clear, compelling narratives for executive, policy, and industry audiences.
  • Create polished charts, tables, and visualizations that communicate key findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Establish and maintain standards for structure, clarity, and analytical credibility across written deliverables.
  • Build and maintain deep, current knowledge of renewable fuels technologies, feedstocks, conversion pathways, policy frameworks, and sustainability criteria.
  • Monitor developments in SAF, renewable diesel, hydrogen, carbon capture, and power-to-liquids markets.
  • Assess implications of evolving regulations, incentives, and sustainability standards (e.g., CFS, LCFS, RFS, CORSIA, EU RED, SBTi).
  • Contribute to strategic recommendations on decarbonization pathways for transportation and energy systems.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional experience. Experience in Renewable Fuels a plus.
  • Familiarity with, and understanding of, existing and emerging renewable fuels global policies and standards, or the ability to get up to speed on these quickly, is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build lasting internal and external relationships, navigate high profile stakeholders, deliver high quality work and manage successful deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with, and understanding of, heavy duty transportation decarbonization across the aviation, maritime, and trucking industries.
  • Experience collaborating with internal subject-matter experts, policy specialists, and external partners to refine analyses.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally - being responsive, showing technical credibility, and clearly communicating.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent training and / or experience) is required.
  • Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations and the nature of start-ups / young businesses.
  • Competent and comfortable with the Microsoft Office Suite, Google products, AI tools, and data visualization tools.
