Within the Office of Research, HRP is responsible for ensuring the ethical and equitable treatment of all human research subjects in studies conducted by UCI faculty, staff, and students that require IRB review. It also ensures compliance with federal regulations, state laws, university policies, and national standards for research involving human participants. HRP staff work directly with IRB reviewers, investigators, and their staff to assist in compliance with IRB requirements for human research applications.
