Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin, TX is seeking an Analog Validation Engineer/Architect to lead comprehensive KPI validation for analog circuitry across platforms. You will build validation plans, write DUT configuration software, and develop hardware automation for measurements, reporting results clearly and concisely.

You will collaborate with Design, Product & Test Engineering, Applications, and Software teams to debug IP-related issues, specify hardware needs, and participate in schematic

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in electrical/computer engineering or computer science.
• Experience with high-speed/RF lab equipment (oscilloscopes, BER testers, VNA, phase noise analyzers).
• C programming; TestStand and Python are a plus; strong data analysis with Excel/JMP/PowerBI.
• Familiarity with SerDes validation and Ethernet 802.3 and PCIe protocols.
• Able to debug silicon, boards and signal integrity issues with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build parametric validation plans from electrical specifications.
• Write software to configure DUT for required test cases.
• Create hardware automation sequences for parametric measurements across PVT and DUT configs.
• Analyze parametric data and report pass/fail/margin against specs.
• Interface with Design, Product & Test Engineering, Applications, Software teams to debug IP issues.
• Generate hardware design requirements and participate in schematic/layout reviews.
