Job summary

Syntiant Corp. in San Diego seeks an experienced Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer to advance ASIC functionality for MEMS microphone audio solutions. The role involves top-level integration, block-level review, and cross-team coordination to define specifications and interfaces.

Applicants should have an MS in EE, with 6–8 years in audio-frequency IC design; a PhD is preferred. Cadence tools experience and strong communication in an agile team are essential.

Qualifications

• MS in EE.
• Ph.D. in EE with focus on analog/mixed-signal IC design is preferred.
• 6-8 years design experience targeting audio-frequency products.
• HV design experience (on-chip charge pumps, switching regulators).
• A/D and D/A design experience.
• Micropower circuit design.
• Knowledge of op-amps, comparators, filters, bandgap references and regulators.
• CMOS circuit design fundamentals and device physics.
• Experience with circuit layout techniques affecting matching and shielding.
• Experience with Cadence tools (Virtuoso, Spectre/APS).
• Strong communication and agile-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Top-level integration of complex mixed-signal systems.
• Supervision and review of block-level design and layout.
• Coordinate with digital and system teams to define specifications and interactions.
• Verify functionality with top-level mixed-signal simulations.
• Design and verification of analog/mixed-signal blocks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
