Job summary

Broadcom Inc. in Colorado is seeking an experienced analog IC design engineer to create and optimize analog blocks and systems, with emphasis on CMOS devices and high-voltage layouts.

You will collaborate with a team of analog and digital engineers, oversee layout, define interfaces, and participate in testing and characterization using lab equipment and ATE to ensure performance and reliability of IPs like opamps, ADCs and power converters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years related experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years.
• Strong background in analog CMOS design and layout techniques.
• Experience with Cadence design tools and verification/extraction.

Responsibilities

• Design analog blocks, systems or sub-systems using behavioral modeling tools and transistor-level circuit design tools.
• Implement and optimize circuit architectures to meet performance, power, and cost targets.
• Lead or collaborate with a team of analog and digital engineers on projects.
• Oversee layout of circuits and review chip package pinout/ballout and routing with package engineers.
• Define internal chip interfaces between analog and digital sections.
• Design/test boards, characterize IC performance with lab equipment, and debug issues.
• Develop production tests with ATE and document circuit operation and performance.
• Contribute to IPs such as opamps, ADCs, DACs, and power management blocks.
