Job summary

Synopsys, Inc. is seeking an experienced Analog Methodology Engineer to lead cross-domain methods for mixed-signal IP and AOIP applications.

You will own key methodology areas, engage with customers and foundries, and drive adoption across engineering teams to accelerate silicon development. The role emphasizes leadership in advanced-node strategies, collaboration across product teams, and a strong emphasis on reliability, tech enablement, and executive communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field; MSEE or PhD preferred.
• 25–30 years of IC design experience with a BSEE degree, or 22–25 years with an MSEE or PhD.
• Expert knowledge of analog and adjacent-domain methodology, including circuit-to-layout, circuit-to-timing, silicon-to-lab correlation, SI/PI integration, and other mixed-signal workflows.
• Deep understanding of transistor-level circuit design, CMOS fundamentals, and physical IP including reliability effects (EM, IR drop, aging).
• Experience defining methodology for advanced nodes with circuit enablement teams and foundries.
• Experience collaborating across a broad mixed-signal IP portfolio and aligning requirements among multiple engineering organizations.
• Ability to set objectives and guide critical methodology assignments, coaching and approving others' work.
• Leading major customers and partnering with circuit enablement and foundries on advanced-node methodology.
• Ability to represent methodologies to product teams and executive leadership for strategic initiatives.
• Own priorities, customer engagement, and execution strategy for analog and adjacent-domain methodologies.

• Act as the focal point for customer-driven methodology requirements and integration challenges.
• Be accountable for prioritization, adoption, stakeholder engagement, and execution.
• Improve coordination across product teams and with customers and foundries.
