Job summary

Micro Systems Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Staff IC Design Engineer to advance low‑power, mixed‑signal IC development for implantable medical devices. You will lead design from concept through production, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

The role requires strong experience in analog/mixed‑signal IC design, Cadence tools, and lab verification; travel and excellence in design‑control processes are expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of analog/mixed‑signal IC design for low‑power medical or implantable devices.
• Strong understanding of CMOS processes, device models, and layout techniques for ultra-low-power design.
• Experience with Cadence mixed‑signal tools: Virtuoso XL, Spectre, Xcelium/AMS, Maestro.
• Lab bench characterization and pre/post‑silicon verification experience.

Responsibilities

• Design high‑performance, ultra‑low‑power analog/mixed‑signal ICs for implantable medical products.
• Contribute to architecture, specifications, layout planning, and verification.
• Create references, op‑amps, comparators, DACs/ADCs, oscillators, and switching power circuits.
• Develop digital blocks for timing/control and signal processing.
• Perform pre/post‑silicon validation and work with IC Test for production vectors.
• Adhere to design‑control processes and mentor other engineers.
