Job summary

MRl Consulting Group | Global Niche Technology Recruitment seeks an experienced senior IC designer to lead ultra-low-power analog/mixed-signal work for implantable medical devices. You will guide architecture, circuit design, verification, and silicon validation, while collaborating with clinical researchers to align technology with patient needs.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with analog/mixed-signal focus.
• 8+ years designing low-power analog/mixed-signal ICs for portable/implantable devices.
• Experience with FDA-regulated development processes is highly desirable.
• Ability to drive complex design projects and communicate findings clearly.
• Deep CMOS knowledge, noise, stability, and power optimization considerations.
• Proficiency with Cadence tools and scripting (Python, Tcl, Shell).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of high-performance, ultra-low-power ICs for implantable devices.
• Oversee full IC lifecycle: architecture, specs, design, verification, and silicon validation.
• Create building blocks: op-amps, references, ADCs/DACs, PMICs, interfaces.
• Develop low-power digital blocks for timing, control, and processing.
• Coordinate test strategies, vectors, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with physicians and researchers to evaluate new technologies.
