Job summary

Modjeski and Masters in New Orleans seeks an Experienced AMPP Senior Coatings Inspector for bridge coating projects. The role involves QA inspections, reporting, and reviewing contractor submittals for QC operations, health and safety, and paint sampling.

You will work closely with owners and contractors to ensure quality and safety on large-scale bridge projects. Requirements include a high school diploma, ABET-aware degree, and 5+ years in bridge coating inspection, with AMPP Senior

Qualifications

• High School Diploma minimum.
• Associate degree in Construction Management or B.S. degree from ABET Accredited College or University is preferred.
• AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector.
• AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector will be considered pending ability to acquire AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector within 6 months of employment.
• 5+ years of BRIDGE coating inspection experience.
• Bridge specialty endorsement is preferred.
• SSPC C-3 “Lead Paint Removal”, and SSPC C-5 “Lead Paint Removal Refresher” completed within last 2 years.
• Background check for e-RAILSAFE and TWIC.
• FRA Random Drug Testing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team on bridge coating projects; typically two inspectors on larger projects.
• Perform QA coating inspections on bridge painting projects and prepare daily/weekly reports.
• Review contractor submittals for QC operations, containment plans, health and safety plans, and paint sampling/testing plans.
• Conduct coating condition assessments.
• Assist in coating plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with owner and contractor to foster partnerships on bridge coating projects.
• Communicate effectively in English and use Excel/Word/iPad apps.
